I've been regularly performing as a singer / pianist

at some of the clubs and restaurants.

I've also been singing in Churches

For many years plus a few.

Another passion is writing!

Below is the back cover of my CD, listing the ten original songs written by me.

The CD came about through me entering a Christian song writing competition.  I didn't win, but three of my songs were in the top 15 and so I was offered a subsidised recording.

After many years of writing songs and recording them on tapes at home I was super keen to record some of my songs properly.

Unfortunately this hasn't led to big things, but this has largely been due to my committment to looking after two little girls and therefore remaining in small town Mackay so as to have the support of extended family.

I was offered a contract early on, but it meant travelling where ever and when ever.  The girls were little at that stage and I just couldn't make that kind of committment.  Do I kick myself sometimes????

Experiences and qualifications:

I have been involved in running retreats,

and have appeared as guest artist

at North Qld and Central Qld Youth Encounters,

Blackall Christmas Carols and many other events. 

I have also performed at Mackay Youth Encounter

and its Rockhampton equivalent,

many ecumenical events and outreaches from

Moranbah to Blackall and Brisbane. 

I also performed at the

Australian Gospel Music Festival in 1999.

I completed Certificate II in Systematic Theology

and have a Bachelor of Music Performing Arts,

majoring in Contemporary Voice. 

I was able to study a year of Jazz

and studied major elective subjects in Dance and Drama.

I have now also completed a Bachelor of Learning Management (teaching degree).

My  1996 album ‘Stand in the Breeze’ was produced by well-known industry veteran Peter Shurley.

GOALS

......  I have so many great but unrecorded songs that I would so like to have professionally recorded.

I would love to travel and sing my songs and tell the story along the way.... Any offers?
